1. The Journey Begins

A Bench With A Story.

Adams Bench is a small-production Woodinville winery owned by Tim and Erica Blue, crafting Cabernet Sauvignon and red blends, about 1,000 cases a year. The name comes from the school bench where students were sent as punishment when Tim was a boy in Indiana. Today, that bench lives at the Blue home.

The project includes the design and development of an elegant, responsive website that reflects Adams Bench’s small-production wines, personal story, and understated character. A full-screen vineyard image with a subtle fade-in will create an inviting introduction, while generous white space, classic serif typography, a quiet color palette, and fine bronze accents inspired by the wine label will establish a timeless visual style. Thoughtful layouts will give the winery’s photography and content room to breathe across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

“The new stars: Adams Bench… quantities are small, so getting on the mailing list is recommended.”

2. Small Lots, Big Reds

Patient. Focused. Cabernet.

Adams Bench makes reds only, slowly and patiently, and its Collectors Club regularly has a waiting list. The website needed to feel just as considered: quiet, confident, and built around the wines and the people who wait for them.

The website will guide visitors through the Adams Bench story, wines, and private tasting experience with clear navigation and carefully organized content. A simple, prominent path to request or reserve a tasting will support the winery’s appointment-only approach, creating an experience that feels personal and welcoming. The overall design will emphasize craftsmanship, place, and discovery, encouraging visitors to connect with the winery and explore its wines.

3. Mobile-Ready

Every pour. Every screen.

Many visitors find Adams Bench on their phones. Every page was designed for small screens: the logo and menu stay clean, critics’ acclaim becomes a swipeable carousel, and the newsletter sign-up is easy to fill out with one thumb.

4. Under the Hood

Built For The Tasting Room.

Every detail was chosen to feel the way a small-lot release does: rare, unhurried, and worth the wait.

A Sweeping Welcome

The homepage opens on a full-screen vineyard image that slowly fades into view, like a great Cabernet opening in the glass. There’s nothing to rush past, just the place where every bottle begins.

Room to Breathe

Generous white space and a restrained layout let each word and image stand on its own. Like a 1,000-case winery, the site does less on purpose, so that what remains feels more considered.

Elegant & Timeless

Classic serif type, a quiet palette, and fine bronze rules echo the Adams Bench label. The design was made to age gracefully, the way the wines do, instead of chasing trends.

Private Tastings

Tastings are by appointment only, and the site treats them that way: a calm, simple path to reserve a private visit. It feels exclusive because it is, and it’s well worth the wait.

Client Love

Molly worked with us in creating our winery website and we absolutely love the results. She was prompt, capable and collaborative in her communications with a pleasant sense of humor and nice artistic flair, willing to suggest and lead, but patient with our need to be hands-on and our perfectionistic tendencies. Molly is a professional, clearly understands how to execute this line of work and has our highest recommendation. Many thanks to Molly and her team!
